Holy Eden Church led by Chairman Rev. Lee Young-soo

By Publisher Lee Kyung-sik

Ambassador Virgilio Paredes Trapero of Honduras and scores of other leading members of the Seoul Diplomatic Corps (SDC) saw on Oct. 4, 2019 one of the world’s largest religious estates in the Gapyeong County of the Gyeonggi Province. At the welcome ceremony on that day, Ambassador Paredes Trapero of Honduras, dean of the visiting members of the SDC, said, “The invitation of us members of the Diplomatic Corps by Chairman Lee Young-soo to visit the Holy Eden Church here offers us a great opportunity to learn the Korean culture, especially religion, and we are all very grateful to Chairman Lee for this rare opportunity.” Speaking at the welcome luncheon hosted by Chairman Lee for the ambassadors and other visiting senior members of the SDC to the Holy Eden Church, Ambassador Paredes Trapero added: “And, of course, I would like to assure you that our visit here would undoubtedly contribute to the promotion of understanding of your church among the members of the Diplomatic Corps.”

Chairman and Mrs. Lee Young-soo of the Holy Eden Church (fifth and sixth from right at the front row, respectively) and Ambassador Virgilio Paredes Trapero of Honduras, dean of the visiting members of the Diplomatic Corps (fourth from right, front row,) pose with other visiting members of the Diplomatic Corps to the Holy Eden Church on Oct. 4, 2019.

The tour, which was organized by The Korea Post media (owner of 3 English and 2 Korean news publications), was participated in by scores of the members of the Diplomatic Corps, including Ambassadors Wylbur Chisiya Simuusa of Zambia and Hazem M. Fahmy of Egypt besides Ambassador Paredes Trapero of Honduras. (See list of participating diplomats at the end of this report.) The ambassadors and other senior members of the SDC that day were visibly overwhelmed by the enormously large physical facilities built on a huge land estate sprawling over a large land lot. The main church building named Huindol Seongjeon (means White Stone Temple) alone is rated to be one of the few largest in the world in terms of seating capacity and the space—to speak nothing of the majestic appearance of the property—inside and out.

Chairman Lee Young-soo of the Holy Eden Church, the host, obviously had a very special regard for the ambassadors and other members of the Diplomatic Corps. In a welcome speech to the guests, Chairman Lee said: “It is a great honor to welcome all the ambassadors and other distinguished guests.” Then he said: “In the Old Testament, there was a time when God directed his servant, Moses, everything he needed in detail. Today, I would like to remind the distinguished guests that this Algok Seongjeon, from small buildings to the big ones, and even paving the way, was built step by step as shown by God in the hands of a few people under His guidance. The reason God led us to build these facilities today is to reveal His will. May God bless you all in your work as well as at home!” Perhaps one of the most important factors of the diplomat tour that day was the detailed introduction of the church by Dr. Yoon Sang-hak, the public relations director of the church. Along with a fluent English interpreter, Dr. Yoon introduced the church.

Excerpts:

Today's schedule will include a visit to Algok Seongjeon and Huindol Seongjeon. Of Algok Seongjeon (one of the main physical facilities of the Church), Algok means grain and Seongjeon temple. So, Algok Seongjeon translates ‘Temple of Grain’ or ‘Temple of Harvest.’Let me present a brief introduction to the background on the Holy Eden Church. The church was founded in 1973 by Mr. Lee Young-soo, chairman of the Church. He had his first audience with Jehovah in 1970, just like Paul the apostle did. Chairman Lee received instructions regarding God’s Providence through his visions over three years and was commanded to carry out the work of God in 1973. Chairman Lee completed Algok Seongjeon in 1987 as God had revealed and commanded through his visions.

This temple was built by the Chairman Lee according to God’s word in 1980, “Build my temple in a quiet place an hour away from Seoul and bring glory to me.” God revealed the specific design and the surrounding landscape of Algok Seongjeon through his visions over five years. Upon God's command to build the temple in 1985, he purchased the land of this area, constructed the temple, and dedicated to Him in 1987. This Algok Seongjeon was prophesized in the bible as the temple of the final harvest. When the grain is ripe in the temple, an angel will come out from the temple and announce it to the harvester. The temple is Algok Seongjeon. The size of the temple is half of Noah’s Ark with the same height and width and about half of its length. This temple will serve the same role at the end of time as Noah’s Ark did.

Algok Seongjeon, the home to the Korean Christian Holy Eden Church in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province.

At the front of the temple, seven angels are holding seven trumpets painted on it. The seven trumpets will signal the last seven plagues in the book of Revelation to the world in the final days. On each side, doves represent the Holy Spirit, and the olive tree branch symbolizes the servant of God doing God’s work at the end of the time. The snail-shaped sculpture on the temple is called Hyangbul or Incense Fire and symbolizes the incense smoke offered before God. After the temple was built, God told Chairman Lee Young-soo, “Your followers will enter my world through this temple.” Perhaps the most important part of the tour for the ambassadors that day was the showing to two videos entitled, namely “Visions of Jehovah’s World” and "Visions of the Devil’s World."

Details of the two audiences follow:

The First Audience with Jehovah (April, 1970):

The First Audience with Jehovah experienced by Chairman Lee in April 1970.

In April of 1968, I took a leave of absence from my preacher position at Jeondogwan (the evangelical church established by the First Olive Tree) and began managing a company called Samil Industry while living in Seokgwan-dong. One day in April 1970, after arriving home tired from work, I fell into a deep sleep. A young, comely man appeared and came toward me smiling. He said, “I have come to meet you.” I asked who he was, and he answered, “I am Jesus of Nazareth.” Amazed and enthusiastically surprised, I asked, “What brings you here?” to which he replied, “I'm here to bring you to my Father,” and tenderly reached for my hand. His hands were warm and soft. Jesus looked very different from what I had imagined; different from the widely common depictions I had come to accept. He stood approximately 7cm taller than me. His face was smoothly rounded, and his eyes distinctly rounder than my own almond-shaped, Asian eyes. His eyes were a dark blend of black and blue. His hair was a dark, reddish black and flowed down to just above his shoulders.

Jesus placed another hand on my shoulder and said, “Hold on tight.” Then, his hand in mine, I felt my body lifting up into the sky. Scared and mystified, I looked down and saw the village quickly shrinking into the distance below. As we entered the clouds, my body tensed with instinctual fear. Seeing my fear, Jesus said, “Hold my hand tight.” So I did. I was reminded of when Jesus ascended to Heaven in acts and asked, “Lord, when you were resurrected and ascended to Heaven with angels, was it like this?” And Jesus said that it was so. I looked down below and saw roofs of tiny houses peeking through the clouds. Having never been on an airplane before, such a sight terrified me even more.

After some time, Jesus said, “We will now be passing through Hades,” and said once again “Hold my hand tight.” Until then, I had always believed that Hades existed beneath Earth, so it was peculiar to learn of its existence above. I tightened my hold on Jesus’ hand and the world around us suddenly went dark. From the void, I sensed hands reaching toward me. No more than two meters away, I felt fingers grasping through the dark but never grabbing a hold. As we passed through the blackness at increasingly fast speed, I was very tense. After a long period of flight, the world suddenly became so extremely bright; I could not open my eyes. When my vision gradually adjusted, I realized I was kneeling down in what I can only describe as an opulent palace. Thirty meters before me stood a magnificent throne, with angels standing to each side. Directly to right of the throne stood Jesus, cordially posed with his hand folded. Jesus then turned and said to the throne, “This is the overcomer I have chosen.” As I heard his words, I realized it was Jehovah sitting upon the throne.

His upper body shined with a blinding radiance, like the blazing glow of molten metal within a smelting furnace. From the light, came a voice. He said, “Your name is Lee Young-soo, is it not?” His voice commanded me to lift my head. Filled with fear, I complied. But as I tried to look upon the throne of Jehovah, the flaring light was far too bright to make out his figure. His voice said, "There is a task you must do for me." and he revealed to me my mission. After Jehovah finished, he said to the two angels solemnly standing beside him, "Show him the Holy City to be built in the future." The angels were immediately beside me and held my arms from both sides. In an instant, we traveled a long distance and I found myself standing within a splendidly magnificent building. A long, school-like hallway extended infinitely in one direction, sparkling with high gloss. On the right side of the hallway, there were a seemingly infinite number of rooms, each marked with a nameplate on the entrance. I went into one room and it opened into a hundred square meter space, decorated in resplendent jewels and other glittering materials. At the far side was a large desk, in the middle was a smaller desk, and near the door was an even smaller desk. Each was further decorated in gold and jewels. I realized these beautiful rooms were meant be offices, to be used by the 144,000 kings in the future. This was the Holy City to be built in the future. (Revelations 21:10)

The Second Audience with Jehovah (January, 1974):

The Second Audience with Jehovah (January, 1974)

Not long after I started Holy Eden Church, I had the opportunity to approach Jehovah's throne and meet God for a second time. God asked me about the progress of my work on Earth. I said that people have been led astray by the earlier works of the First Olive Tree and have become difficult for me to lead. God then asked me what I thought should be done. So I asked if he might give me more authority and the power to help them believe. God replied, “Do as you will, but do so with discretion." Then, God told me to come forward, so I went before the throne. To my left, and to the right of Jehovah, a pearl-like orb the size of a basketball sat on a table that stood a meter high. The orb shined with bright, dazzlingly colors from within. God said, “The universe is so vast that it cannot be seen at a glance. Look inside.” When I gazed into the orb, I saw what I later discovered were entire galaxies passing by. Some were oval in shape, some round. Some were empty at their center, like cosmic doughnuts.

But the time, I had no idea what galaxies actually looked like. It was only after some time that scientists began publishing images taken from deep space and I saw the first real pictures of distant galaxies. It was only then that I truly realized what I had seen within the pearl-like orb before God. I thanked him for teaching me about the vastness and mystique of the universe so far in advance. It was indeed a privilege to experience such revelations before God’s throne and an audience of angels.

Visions of the Devil’s World, a threat from the Devil (August, 1971):

Visions of the Devil’s World, a threat from the Devil (August, 1971)

Several months after I was tasked by Jesus with the mission of the Olive Tree (April 1971), two devils appeared before me. The following picture shows one of these devils. Their look was indeed a little frightening. With horns about 5 cm long, they had upward-slanting eyes, large ears like those of a donkey, and their naked upper bodies were sturdily built. Each hand had only three fingers and their tails stretched no less than 60 cm. Their legs were that of a goat, and with cloven hooves, they walked with their rears pushed back. They spoke with a husky voice, and I felt as if I were talking to a man. The devils asked me why I was a follower of Jesus and said, “We nailed Jesus to the cross and killed him 2,000 years ago.” The devil asked me if I wanted to see Jesus on the cross, so I said yes. A large, theater-like screen suddenly appeared before me and displayed Jesus as he was being crucified. “Look. This is the Jesus we killed. What makes you want to follow him?” I did not reply.

Chairman Lee (second from left) delivers a plaque of appreciation to Ambassador Paredes Trapero of Honduras at the Hotel Whitestone at the Holy Eden Church estate in the Gapyeong County of Gyeonggi Province on Oct. 4, 2019.

The devil kept on pressing, “If you abandon Jesus, we will give you anything you want. You think Jesus is powerful, but our power is far greater.” He looked at a passing woman, a scarf wrapped around her neck, and he said, “Turn yellow.” And the scarf turned yellow. Then, the devil said, “Turn red.” And it turned red. “Look. Don’t you want to follow me now?” I did not reply, so the devils left me. Several days later, the two devils visited me again to tempt me, but to no avail. One said, “He is not listening to us, so let us take him to the King.” They held me by each arm and dragged me to their King. On the way, one devil said to the other, “He is the Overcomer, so we cannot harm him.” They took me into the Devil's world. Once there, I was brought before a great idol about 30 meters tall. The idol opened his basketball-sized eyes wide, stared at me, and roared, “Do you have any idea where you are? How dare you stand before me?” His thunderous voice was terrifying.

However, I remembered the two devils saying, “This is the Overcomer, so we cannot harm him." Comforted by that fact, I looked straight at the idol. And the idol said, “Take him before the King,” and the two devils locked my arms and dragged me away. For what seemed like 30 minutes, they dragged me. Entering a grand, dark building where I saw servant devils and was soon brought before the Devil King. In the form of a human, he looked down on me from his high throne. The devils who brought me spoke, “Do you know where you are? Kneel.” and forced me to my knees. Strangely, the Devil King did not speak word and merely stared down at me for several minutes. During that time, I could not help but be intrigued by the Devil King's unexpectedly handsome human form.

On his throne, he wore a crown and sat with a powerful, regal posture. Overcome with a feeling of imminent danger, I waited for a window of opportunity and made a hasty escape. The devils made chase as they flung their spears, I could hear the metallic whistle of their shafts sail past my ears. During my escape, I became exhausted and collapsed. Believing my life in danger, I cried out for Jesus. It was then that a sudden, blinding light appeared before me. The devils chasing me immediately turned and began running away. Those who failed to escape quickly fizzled away, melting like snowmen in the hot sun. At that moment, Jesus appeared from the radiance. Clad in long white clothes, he said, “Alone, a man cannot defeat even the weakest of devils. Now, do you understand?” And then he disappeared. When I awoke from my vision, I was soaked in sweat. As I tried to organize my thoughts, the Holy Spirit came to me, like the fall of a sweet, welcome rain upon my head.

The Devil King Being Worshipped (April 20, 1972):

The Devil King Being Worshipped (April 20, 1972)

In a vision, I visited and witnessed the Devil’s world again. The Devil King was sitting upon his throne, basking in the glory of idol worshippers on Earth. In front of him stood an enormous incense burner, a few wisps of smoke arose from it. I then heard a voice coming from within the burner. It was a prayer from Earth, asking for rain while knocking on a wooden prayer block. Upon hearing the prayer Devil King spoke, “Who is responsible for that region?” One of the devils sprang up and said, “It is I.” The Devil King said, “Go and help them.” Then the devil immediately disappeared. The Devil King caught me watching and roared that I had returned and must be captured. One of the devils standing by him said, “Father, I will catch him” and came after me. It was then I knew that this was the very same devil from the Bible who claimed his authority over the world, harassing and tempting Jesus in the desert (Luke 4:5). He approached me with an oddly-shaped, but undeniably sharp spear. Fearing for my life if remained, I ran.

Chairman Lee of the Holy Eden Church presents a plaque of appreciation to Ambassador Hazem Fahmy of Egypt on Oct. 4, 2019.

As the spear-toting underling devils were fast approaching, I heard Jesus’ voice. “What is that in your hand?” When I looked down, I realized I was holding a club of power. Then the Lord said, “Strike them with it.” So I struck the nearest devil with a blow to its head. As it shrieked and fell, the club grew bigger in my hand. With every devil I struck down, the club continued to grow, and soon I found myself worrying how I would hold onto it if it kept growing. Then I awoke from the vision to my room filled with sunlight and I found myself soaked in sweat. As I tried to rise, the Holy Spirit came to me, like the fall of a sweet, welcome rain upon my head.

Ambassadors and other visiting members of the Diplomatic Corps attended a gala luncheon reception hosted by Chairman Lee of the Holy Eden Church at the Hotel Whitestone.

Regarding the vision that Chairman Lee Young-soo saw, Dr. Yoon Sang-hak, the public relations director of the Church, explained as follows:
explained:

The first video above is a scene in which Chairman Lee Young-soo had an audience with God. This is a scene of biblical prophecy. Jesus promised that he would acknowledge him who overcomes before God and his angel. "He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angel" (Revelation 3:5). As promised, Jesus took President Lee Young-soo to God and introduced him to God. The four angels to the left and right of God's throne in this vision are four archangels. Jesus took him before God because He chose him as the overcomer. The reason why Jesus needs an overcomer is for the harvest in the end times. In the book of Revelation, Jesus made seven promises to him who overcomes. The above promise is the fifth of them. Some people misunderstand that overcoming is the same thing as good faith. So they think these covenants are for many people. But if you look at the contents of these covenants, you can see that they are not. Let's look at important ones of them.

Visiting members of the Diplomatic Corps are enjoying a cup of coffee with dessert at the M Lounge of the Holy Eden Church on the 13th floor of the Hotel Whitestone where the visitors can see the outstandingly beautiful scenery.

Third covenant: the new name written on a white stone
Jesus said he would give the overcomer a white stone with a new name on it. "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it" (Revelation 2:17). What is the white stone? Stone is one of the symbols of Jesus. Jesus said, "The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone" (Psalm 118: 22, Matthew 21:42). This means that Jesus will be the foundation for the new Jerusalem by being sacrificed on the cross. In the book of Zechariah, a stone with seven eyes is prophesied. "See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,' says the LORD Almighty, 'and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day" (Zechariah 3:9). Jehovah said that if one stone had seven eyes, he would remove the iniquity of the earth in one day.

By the way, when Jesus ascended and appeared before God, he had seven eyes. The seven eyes refer to the seven spirits of God (Revelation 5:6). Thus, the stone symbolizes Jesus, and the promise that Jesus will give the overcomer a white stone means that Jesus will be with him. And Jesus said that a new name is written on the stone and that only the recipient can know the name. The name represents the Word of God. "His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God" (Revelation 19:12-13). When Jesus went out to war against the beast, the devil's servant, he had a name he knew only, and that name was the Word of God. It means the Word of God written in the book sealed by the seven seals, which God has given to him (Revelation 5:7).

Jesus received the book from God and saw it and learned the mystery of God. Jesus promised to give the word to him who overcomes. Therefore, the overcomer knows the secret of God. The reason why Jesus reveals the word of God to the overcomer is to reveal his mission. The mission is to create the soldiers of God and complete the heavenly army. This is the harvest at the end of time.

Ambassadors and the members of the Seoul Diplomatic Corps pose for the picture In front of the pearl gate on the 6th floor of the Culture Center.

The sixth covenant: the name of the new Jerusalem
In the sixth covenant, Jesus said to record the name of the new Jerusalem on him. "Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name" (Revelation 3:12). New Jerusalem means the wife of the Lamb (Revelation 21:9-10). These are heavenly soldiers. So Jesus said that He would give the name of the holy soldiers to the overcomer. Why does Jesus tell this to him? Because the overcomer is the one who must harvest the last time, Jesus teaches him the result of the harvest, the list of Saints who became heavenly soldiers through him.

Fourth covenant: authority to rule over all nations
If the overcomer accomplishes his mission, Jesus will give him authority over all nations (Revelation 2:26). The nations are the nations that will be created after judgment, meaning all who were born after the creation of the world. Therefore, the winner will rule over all who were born after the foundation of the world.

Seventh Covenant: Jesus' throne
Jesus promised to give his throne to the overcomer. "To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne" (Revelation 3:21). Jesus said that he would let the overcomer sit with his throne, which is the same as Jesus overcame and sat with God's throne. Jesus sat on the throne at the right hand of God, not the throne of God (Psalm 110:1). Therefore, sitting together in the throne of God is symbolic, which means power over God's world. Like Jesus, the overcomer will be a tremendous being who will rule the world of God in the future.

How is this different from the power of ruling over all nations? All nations mean the kingdom of heaven, where people saved after judgment are divided into 144,000 domains. Therefore, to rule over all nations is the tremendous power of ruling over all the people born after creation. By contrast, governing the world of God dominates where God is, and the ordinary people cannot go there. After judgment, God will make a new heaven and a new earth. "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea" (Revelation 21:1). The new heaven is where God is, the new earth is where the saved people live, and these are in different places. The earth does not mean a new world of flesh, but rather God calls the place where people live apart from where He is.

Ambassadors and other members of the Diplomatic Corps are watching movies about Chairman Lee's visions.

Therefore, the last harvest receives not only the power to rule over all nations but also the high strength to rule over the heavenly kingdom of God. It is like the power Jesus has received (Psalm 2:7-9, 110:1). Thus, the "one like a son of man" who has received the final harvest mission will be similar to Jesus. As we have seen, the overcomer is taught the mystery of God and is commissioned to harvest. And when he completes it, he is given power over all who were born after the creation, as well as power over heaven. Can there be so many such beings? Only one person is foretold as a harvester. There is one more thing God promised to overcome. It is the inheritance of living water spring. "To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son" (Revelation 21:6-7).

The reason God gives the overcomer living water is because he wants him to wash away the sins of people and make the soldiers that God needs. Let us learn about the harvest of heavenly soldiers at the end of time foretold in the Bible. "I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one 'like a son of man' with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, 'Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.' So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested" (Revelation 14:14-16).

On the cloud is "the one like a Son of man," and a sickle is in his hand. He is the last harvester. When he is harvesting, the angel is watching the grain ripen in the temple. But when the grain is ripe, the angel comes out of the temple and tells him to let the harvest. Therefore the grain is ripe in the temple. Thus the grain ripened in the temple represents the saints who become heavenly soldiers. When the harvester appears, he must finish his work, and the work of God on earth will come to an end.

In the lobby on the 6th and 7th floors of Huindol Seongjeon, paintings of scenes of Chairman Lee Young-soo's view are displayed.

In the book of Daniel, the one like a son of man is prophesied. "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed" (Daniel 7:13-14). Among Daniel's vision, "the one like a son of man" was led to the "Ancient of Days" and received everlasting authority over all nations. Some people say "the one like a son of man" is Jesus, "the Ancient of Days" as God.

However, if you look at the following passage, you can see that it is not. "As I watched, this horn was waging war against the saints and defeating them, until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom" (Daniel 7:21-22). In this verse, "the Most High" comes out. It is God. Then it concludes that "the Ancient of days" is not God. Who is he? He is Jesus. Since Jesus was born before the foundation of the world, He is always present (John 17:5). In the above verse, what the Ancient of Days does is to reward the enemy for the saints of God. In the book of Revelation, you saw a story of martyrs asking Jesus to pay back their enemies (Revelation 6:10). God's Saints are these martyrs.

Therefore, we can know that Jesus is the "Ancient of Days" to pay back their enemies. The "one like a son of man" is the one who has the mission of harvest. When he completes the task, Jesus will come and take those whom He has chosen. And the one like a son of man will receive eternal authority from Jesus to rule over all nations. "All nations" means 144,000 kingdoms in which those saved in judgment will live. The judges are the heavenly armies, the number of them is 144,000, and they will become kings after the judgment, so in the future, the kingdom of heaven will have 144,000 nations.

Therefore, The man like a son of man will receive authority over the kings of 144,000. Algok Seongjeon is the temple that is scheduled for the end-time harvest in the Bible (see Revelation 14: 14-16). And Huindol Seongjeon embodies two things in the Bible, the New Jerusalem, where the heavenly soldiers enter, and the place where the Lamb and his bride feast (Revelation 21:27, 19:7-8). The Lamb's bride is the soldiers of heaven. This time, the place where the diplomats visited is where God's work of the last harvest is taking place.

Congratulatory speech by Ambassador Virgilio Paredes Trapero of Honduras, dean of the visiting members of the Diplomatic Corps:

Honorable Chairman Lee Young-soo, distinguished members of the Holy Eden Church, excellencies, other honorable members of the Seoul Diplomatic Corps! On behalf of the visiting members of the Seoul Diplomatic Corps, as well as for myself, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the distinguished Chairman Lee of the Holy Eden Church for inviting us to visit and attend the welcome ceremony at your wonderful Church! I also express my gratitude to Chairman Lee Kyung-sik of The Korea Post media for arranging this wonderful tour to visit the church. I had a speech prepared, but, actually being in this church, it has made me think that it would be better that I talk from my heart. I am a Christian and Honduras is a Christian nation. Of all the Asian countries I have visited, most of the Korean population are Christians. So I can conclude that Korea is also a Christian country. I personally believe in Jesus Christ as God and my personal savior. God sent his son Jesus 2,000 years ago to die for all our sins. If we believe that, God says we have eternal life with Him the day we die. I have been living in Korea for the past two years, and I have seen God’s love through the lives of the Korean people. Many conferences and speeches about the Korean economic miracle (KEM) have been given where I have participated. All have talked of Korean endurance, sacrifice, education, technological nation-oriented, infrastructure, and other men-doing things.

Hotel Whitestone, a 12-story building within the facilities of Algok-seongjeon Complex.

All of these things played an important role in the Korean Economic Miracle. But for me of what I have learned of the Korean culture and its people, the most significant action or thing that played the most important role in the KEM was the fact that God is with the Korean Nation and its people. No one talks about it, but through history we can find out that when God is on the side of a nation, that nation prospers. I am sure that our visit here would greatly contribute to the promotion of our understanding of the church and religion in Korea. And, of course, I would like to assure that our visit here would undoubtedly contribute to the promotion of understanding of your church among the members of the Diplomatic Corps. Again, Chairman Lee Young-soo, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for inviting us to visit these wonderful religious, cultural and sports facilities in the Gapyeong country of Korea today. Thank you!

Congrtulatory message of H.E. Wylbur C Simuusa, Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia in Seoul, regarding the tour of the Holy Eden Church for ambassadors and diplomats organized by The Korea Post:

The main thing I wish to highlight about my impression of the tour to the Holy Eden church was that I was very surprised and I did not expect to see such magnificent buildings, structures and the auditorium, built to exceptionally high standards for which I could not think of a comparison. And what was more surprising was the explanation from Chairman Lee Young-soo that all was done as a result of a Vision from God and using only resources from the church and the members. Very impressive and very challenging. It was not only an experience which showed the Korean fighting spirit but it was also a spiritual experience. I was very happy to have been part of the tour and I commend The Korea Post for organizing the tour.
