To mark 20th anniversary of Neutrality of Turkmenistan

On Sept. 5, 2015, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea conducted a ceremony of awarding prizes to the winners of children's drawings entitled “Peace and Friendship World Children's drawing competition, dedicated to 20th Anniversary of Neutrality of Turkmenistan” in the Centennial Hall of Sookmyung Women’s university.

This event was held by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the framework of the events organized in celebration ofthe 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan's status of Permanent Neutrality, as well as the Year of Peace and Neutrality declared in 2015 in Turkmenistan, with the support of “Sookmyung Women’s University” and “Global Youth Fair.”
The selection of the drawing took place few days before the ceremony, where the members of the jury, consisting of artists and cultural figures of theRepublic of Korea, including representatives of the arts faculty of ?Sookmyung Women’s university?, chose the best works of children in the age category from 4 to 6, 7 to 10 and from 11 to 15 years.

Along with Korean studentsand their parents, prominent figures of culture and art of the Republic of Korea, heads of public organizations of the Republic of Korea, professors from different higher educationalinstitutions of the country, the staff of diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Korea also participated in the awards ceremony.
Special guests of the award ceremony gave their congratulatory speeches, where they highlighted the foreign policy of Independent and Neutral Turkmenistan, pursued under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, emphasizing the important role of Turkmenistan in promoting peace and security in the region and in the world.
During the ceremony, the winners of the competition, who won the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in various age categories, were awarded with prizes in the form of gift coupons and diplomas, also they received commemorative Turkmen handicrafts and caps with the symbol of the 20th anniversary of Permanent Neutrality and the Year of Peace and Neutrality, proclaimed in 2015 in Turkmenistan. After the ceremony all students who submitted their worksin the competition were also awarded with the certificate of participation.
Along with the award ceremony, the exhibition ofchildren's works was displayed in the exhibition hall. In total, 125 drawing from around Korea was displayed at the exhibition.“Peace and Friendship World Children's Drawing competition,
