Reader’s Humor

Here is humor from a kind-hearted former ambassador from a Central Asian country. A grateful hat tip of the Editor to His Excellency.

Any other generous ambassadors (or other diplomats) wishing to share their humor with their incumbent colleagues and predecessors? Please send them to and oblige Chairman Lee of The Korea Post as well as the colleagues!!!

Learn to correctly spell Czechoslovakia to enter the Pearly Gate

After death, a man reached the Pearly Gate.

Angel: You have to answer a question after that you enter.

The man: What’s that?

Angel: You have to spell a word. In case you fail you will be taken to Hell.

The man: Which word?

Angel : “Love.”

The man: Okay, it’s “L-O-V-E”

Angel: Correct! Come inside.

As he was about to enter in the Heaven, the Angel's mobile rang.

Angel: I've an urgent work. I have to go for a minute. You please keep an eye on the Gate until I come back.

The man: Okay, for sure!

Angel: Please ask the same question if anybody comes here in my absence. If they reply with the correct spelling you can let them enter in the Heaven. Otherwise send them to Hell from the other gate.

The man: I’ll obey.

Just after the Angel had left, the man saw a lady walking towards him.

She was his wife.

The man asked: Hey honey, how did you reach here?

Wife: After your death when I was going back home from the cemetery, a bus hit me and I found myself here. Now you move aside and let me in.

The man: No, as per rules here, you must spell a word correctly to enter the Heaven. Otherwise you will be taken to hell from that other gate.

Wife: Which word?

The man: “Czechoslovakia."

What is the difference between a wife and a girlfriend?

Wife is like a TV and a girlfriend a mobile phone.

At home you watch TV but when you go out you take your mobile.

Sometimes you enjoy TV but most of the time you play with your mobile.

TV is free for life, but for the mobile if you don't pay the services will be terminated.

TV is big, bulky and most of the time old. But the mobile is cute, slim, curvy and very portable.

Operational costs for TV are often acceptable, but for the mobile it is often high and demanding.

TV has a remote, mobile doesn't.

Most importantly, mobile is a two-way communication (you talk and listen) but with the TV you must only listen (whether you want to or not)

Last but not least...!

TVs don't have viruses, but mobiles often do...

Take care!
