Special report:

So who’s winning in the National Assembly race?

This has to be dated April 7, 2016 to meet the election law requirements.

Compiled based on varying forecasts on the anticipated election outcome, the final figures are expected to be:

145-100 seats for the ruling Saenuri Party, 90-100 for the majority opposition Minjoo Party, 35 to 40 for the second opposition People's Party of Rep. Ahn Cheol-soo and 5 to 7 for the progressive Justice Party.

This is, of course, based on the estimates made minutes before the legal deadline of publication of election forecasts on April 7, 2016, beyond which publication of forecasts of anticipated election estimation is illegal. However, one way or other, the above figures were exchanged among the media people who needed the most accurate latest forecasts secured 'bending' the law provisions.

Chairman Lee will demand an adequate praise from the Excellencies if the figures will prove pretty close to the actual outcome tomorrow evening. If he should miss the target too far, however, he deserves a boo.
