Laying the foundation for systematic preservation and management of public records in Yeongam-gun

Yeongam-gun (Gunsu Jeon dong-pyeong) held the opening ceremony of the Yeongam Records Center on December 24th (Thursday) in accordance with the Corona 19 Prevention Guidelines with 20 people attending, including the head of the Yeongam-gun and Gang Chan-won, the chairman of the military council.
The Yeongam Archives is a 7th civilian-choice military pledge project, which was promoted for three years with a project cost of 3 billion won from 2018 to 2020. It was newly built.
According to the county, the existing preservation archives were in a state where it was impossible to systematically manage the records of real and towns and villages due to the narrow space, so the construction of the Yeongam-gun archives was promoted to efficiently perform the integrated preservation and management functions of the records.
In the Yeongam Archives, which will be opened, records reading and studio, administrative data room, book cafe, preservation library, and photographs of Yeongam 100 years old for visitors under the theme of “Records of Yeongam 100 Years” are displayed on the stair wall from the 1st to 3rd floor Has been.
A mobile bookshelf (mobile rack) 97 that can store about 200,000 general documents, administrative museums, drawings, audio-visual records, etc. was installed in the Yeongam-gun Archives, and a non-electronic records management system was established to register, transfer, evaluate and discard records. 
A system has been established to more efficiently manage the entire process of managing records such as water purification inspection, reading and lending.
Currently, 88,600 documents are stored in the Yeongam-gun archives, including documents from the existing archives and the recent transfers to the office. In January of next year, if 40,000 copies of transfer documents are transferred and stored at business offices and towns, 130,000 documents will be stored.
An official at the archives of Yeongam-gun said, “We plan to implement a DB construction project for important records for efficient preservation and management of public records, and we will do our best to provide records information services such as satisfying the right to know of civilians through systematic management of public records.”
