“Styler,” a steam clothing care system of LG Electronics, is gaining high popularity overseas with its differentiated TrueSteam technology.

LG Electronics said on Dec. 28 that Styler's overseas sales increased by more than 50 percent this year compared to last year.

The electronics company introduced Styler in Korea for the first time in 2011 and expanded it to more than 20 countries, including the U.S., Russia, the U.K., Italy, China, and Japan. Sales in some countries, including Russia, more than doubled this year compared to last year.

As customers' interest in health and hygiene is increasing overseas, Styler is playing a role in promoting LG Electronics' steam home appliances. LG Styler is a steam home appliance with patented TrueSteam technology.

LG Styler was recognized in the global market as it received the CES Innovation Awards, which are awarded to the most innovative products, ahead of the annual Consumer Electronics Show, for three consecutive years.

"We will allow overseas customers to experience LG Styler's new concept of clothing management culture with differentiated TrueSteam and moving hangers." Kwak Do-young, head of the H&A Overseas Sales Group at LG Electronics.
