A campaign to change the world in the village
Pyeongtaek City, led by Mayor Jang Jeong-sun, held the ‘Pyeongtaek Fair Trade Fortnight’ event on Nov. 10 at City Hall Fountain Plaza to change the world in the village.
Fair trade is a movement that pursues ethical consumption by paying fair costs to producers in developing countries.
The campaign was held at the Fair Trade Council in Pyeongtaek, which briefly explained Fair Trade to Pyeongtaek citizens and provided Fair Trade snack kits for about 300 people, including coffee mix, bananas, and cookies.
The city holds Fortnight every year to revitalize Fair Trade, and said that it will make efforts to spread Fair Trade in the future.
