Lee graduated from Sookmyung Women's University and Roboro Graduate School in the UK

Yoon Hyung-joong, the new CEO of Korea Airports Corporation (KAC), said on March 4 that he had appointed Lee Mi-ae, head of the strategic and planning headquarters, as the first female vice president in 42 years since its foundation.

Vice President Lee joined the KAC in 1987 and was appointed as the first female permanent director in the corporation’s history in April last year, and was promoted again in 11 months, marking a new history of the KAC.

Lee has been recognized for her expertise and management capabilities in airport operations through various experiences and major positions in the corporation, including marketing team leader, public relations manager, Daegu Airport manager, management manager, aviation business manager, safety and security manager, and head of strategy planning headquarters.

Vice President Lee graduated from Sookmyung Women's University and Roboro Graduate School in the UK, and earned a doctorate in aviation transportation from Korea Aerospace University.
