The contest to be held in Korea, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Turkey until Sept. 19

Hyundai Elevator announced on Aug. 22 that it will hold the elevator idea contest, ‘Think Outside The Box’ in Korea, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Turkey until Sept. 19. The theme of this competition is 'Smart Elevator in the 4th Industrial Revolution Era'.

It was prepared to reflect actual customer opinions and novel ideas in the rapidly changing elevator trends such as untact, IT and robots.

Hyundai Elevator explained, “We have adopted the slogan ‘Think Outside The Box’ with our will to explore the possibility of an elevator as a medium that connects space and people beyond a simple box-shaped vertical transportation means.”

There are three detailed themes: △Smart elevator with new technology applied △New type of elevator design △Elevator concept utilizing unique cultural (national) characteristics (limited to overseas competition).

The general public, university (graduate) students, or groups (up to 2 people) can participate.

The total prize money is 135 million won, and the domestic category is 10 million won (1 team), 5 million won (3 teams), 5 million won (3 teams), 3 million won (3 teams), and 300,000 won (10 teams).

In the overseas category, gold prizes of $4,000 (1 team), $2,000 (3 teams), bronze prizes of $1,000 (3 teams), and winning prizes of $200 (10 teams) will be awarded for each country.

Submissions are accepted via email (hyundai2022@hyundaielevator.com) in A3 size (420x297mm, horizontal format) PDF or JPG file format.
