The briefing started with watching videos of Governor Jeon's activities since his inauguration, followed by Yangpyeong County's performance during the 100 days.

Governor Jeon explained the county’s vision under the theme of “People and nature, happy Yangpyeong,” while introducing the county’s five future directions, including ▲ Life administration spanning every nook and cranny ▲ Health and welfare of care and consideration ▲ Vibrant jobs and tourism ▲ Communication platform.

The most outstanding part of the Governor Jeon's actions after taking office is in the field of communication.

From the day of the inauguration, starting with a meeting with journalists, communication dates with about 900 public officials in Yangpyeong-gun were conducted to introduce the governor and get to know the employees.

In addition, starting with Yangpyeong-eup, he visited 12 towns and villages to understand the current state of the region, grasped institutional groups, and started formal meetings with residents as the head of Yangpyeong-gun.

In addition, he formed a consensus through various communication channels, such as establishing a communication channel between the county and county council and establishing a cooperative system for the development of Yangpyeong County by holding regular communication meetings with the Yangpyeong County Council.

Meanwhile, during the heavy rains in Yangpyeong-gun last August, Governor Jeon visited the damaged site every day from the day the torrential rain started, comforting the affected residents and working hard for recovery.

The governor held a countermeasures meeting for damage recovery, consulted with government ministries, and urged the declaration of a special disaster zone together with the Yangpyeong County Council.

As a result of these efforts, on Aug. 22, Yangpyeong-gun was included in the priority declaration area for special disaster, making it possible to receive direct and indirect support to the affected residents, such as state and local tax deferrals and reduction of utility bills.

At the same time, the county will also provide a disaster basic income of 500,000 won per household for those who have been affected by heavy rains and those who are excluded from the recovery target.

For expedited payment, applications are currently being accepted at the eup/myeon offices in the affected area, and applications can be submitted by the following month.

Governor Jeon Jin-seon of Yangpyeong County said, "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the many journalists who attended this event despite their busy schedules."

“Like the county’s vision, we ask you to continue serving as a strong bridge between the county and citizens so that people and nature can coexist and make Yangpyeong full of happiness.”
