Spouse of the ambassador of Uzbekistan in Seoul

William Shakespeare said, “May flight of Angels sing thee to thy rest!”
And Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “It is not length of life, but depth of life!”
So quoted Publisher-Chairman Lee Kyung-sik of The Korea Post media in his letter to the late Madam Lyudmila Fen, the late spouse of the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, when he visited the funeral-memorial site at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul on Oct. 23, 2022.

Madam Lyudimila Fen, spouse of the Ambassador of Uzbekistan. She was so kind-hearted and had so many good friends among Koreans as well as members of the Diplopmatic Corps in Korea.

It being Sunday afternoon, there were not so many visitors to the funeral-memorial hall at the Embassy, but there were large pictures of the late Madam and many more pictures related with her and her country, the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Madam Fen was a target of admiration among her Korean friends as well as the spouses of the ambassadors in Korea for her kindness and generous mind.
She was so nice to everyone and many people keep unrivaled fond memories of her in the depth of their minds.

The late Madam Fen was also a great contributor to the promotion of relations, friendship and cooperation between Korea and Uzbekistan. To the majority of Koreans who have met her, Madam Fen was a ‘kind-hearted grandma’ who was so easy of access thanks to her motherly, kind-hearted attitude.
Passage of Madam Fen is surely a great loss to Korea as well as to Uzbekistan, to speak nothing of the feeling of loss felt among all members of the diplomatic community in Korea as well as the people who have known her.
