One of the most important marine food and fisheries fairs of the Republic of Korea
The Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul has participated in the 'Busan International Seafood and Fisheries Fair-2022', one of the most important marine food and fisheries fairs of the Republic of Korea, held from 02 to 05 November 2022. Bangladesh has been actively participating in the fair for the past few years and has been displaying fish and seafood at this fair.
A total of 1055 booths (105 foreign and 950 Korean) with the participation of related organizations from 22 countries, including the Republic of Korea, displayed their seafood and fisheries products at the fair.
Mayor of Busan City Mr. Park Hyeong Joon along with other special guests inaugurated the fair and visited the pavilions of various countries participating in the fair on the morning of November 02, 2022. The attractive presentation of the Bangladesh Pavilion created a lot of interest among the visitors.
good number of visitors visited the Bangladesh Pavilion and expressed their keen interest in Bangladesh's fisheries resources and seafood, especially shrimp, crab, eel fish, cattle fish (sepia) and squid. During this four-day fair, detailed information about different species of Bangladeshi fish was presented to the visitors. Leaflets and booklets on marine fish, seafood and fisheries of Bangladesh were distributed among the visitors at the fair.
This fair is an ideal opportunity to present information about Bangladesh's fisheries resources and seafood to the fish importers of the Republic of Korea and other countries. Bangladesh's successful participation in the 'Busan International Seafood and Fisheries Fair 2022' is expected to help enhance trade relations with the businessmen of different countries, including Bangladesh and the Republic of Korea, in the future.
