Pernod Ricard Korea releases the new high-end collection of the prestige whisky ‘Royal Salute’, ‘Royal Salute 30 Year Old (Royal Salute 30YO – Key to the Kingdom)’.
Royal Salute has been leading the innovation of Scotch whiskey based on the know-how accumulated over many years presenting the line-up starting from at least 21 Year Old and high-aged prestige whiskeys. Recently introduced Blended Grain and Blended Malts made with undiluted liquor aged for more than 21 years are the prove of that footprint, and not limited to this Royal Salute continuously introduced innovative high-end whiskeys such as 38 Year Old and ultra-rare 52 Year Old. This was possible thanks to Royal Salute's unique distillation know-how, advanced whiskey maturation technology, and the craftsmanship of Sandy Hislop, a world-class master blender.
This Royal Salute 30 Year Old, a new permanent line-up, was also completed with the unique know-how and sophistication of Royal Salute. It marks the start of the Royal Salute high-end collection composed of high-end whiskeys and contains every element a true high-end whisky must have, such as top quality, sophisticated design, rarity and the story of the British Monarchy.
Having been originally crafted to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, Royal Salute has maintained a close connection with British royalty and has always celebrated special royal events and momentous occasions for around 70 years. The new Royal Salute 30 Year Old has also been inspired by the oldest, time-honored ceremonies of the British Monarchy, ‘The Ceremony of the Key’s’.
The Ceremony of the Key’s embodies meanings of freedom and honor, and is a symbolic ceremony hosted every summer at Scotland’s Holyrood Palace where the keys to the City of Edinburgh are presented to the monarchs of the British royalty in respect and celebration.
In its package, various elements of the Ceremony of the Key’s have been presented as delicate designs, including the entrance to the Holyrood garden, swords, and royal roses. Moreover, the luxurious hand-crafted, granite-effect flagon that contains the 30 Year Old whisky and the metal stopper inspired by the hilt of ancient Scottish swords are regarded as artistic masterpieces of the greatest quality.
Royal Salute 30 Year Old is a modern interpretation and blend of high-aged Scotch whiskies, and boasts unique flavors created from the know-how, highly-skilled techniques and craftsmanship of the Royal Salute House. Master Blender ‘Sandy Hyslop’ hand-selected rare whiskies produced across Scotland and aged for a minimum of 30 years, and completed a unique blend as exclusive and classically refined as the Ceremony of the Key’s. The rich sweetness of ripe pear and blood orange and thick set honey harmoniously blend with the subtle and warm flavors of cinnamon and ginger, and continues to a long finish with enduring smoky notes.
“The newly introduced ‘Royal Salute 30 Years Old’ is a high-end Scotch whisky, skillfully crafted as a modern expression, that has been aged for at least 30 years based on Royal Salute’s know-how and craftmanship” explains the Marketing Director of Pernod Ricard Korea, Miguel Pascual, and commented that “We hope consumer would be able to experience wholly the dignity and expertise exclusive to “Royal Salute 30 Year Old”, which presents another level of innovation to the high-end whiskey following ‘Blended Malt Whisky’ and ‘Blended Grain Whisky’, the innovative products of Royal Salute brand.
Meanwhile, Royal Salute will present the ‘Royal Salute 30 Year Old Special Ritual Kit (Key to the Ritual)’ in collaboration with the world-renowned designer ‘Teo Yang’ for prestige whisky consumers to explore the essence of and experience in depth the value of the true high-end whisky. The Special Ritual Kit is to offer an unprecedented, special ritual for consumers to explore not only the savor and flavors, but also the aroma and colors of the highly exclusive 30 year old whisky.
