They agree to promote friendly relations between the two countries

Governor Park Wan-soo of Gyeongsangnam-do Province met with Hungary's new ambassador to South Korea, Istvan Szerdalheyi, at the reception room of the provincial government on Nov. 14.

The meeting was made during Amb. Szerdalheyi’s visit to Gyeongsangnam-do Province, which had a friendly relationship with the Fejér Megye State of Hungary.

Governor Park said, "Hungary has been the first Eastern European country to establish diplomatic relations with the Republic of Korea in 1989, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen friendly relations between Gyeongsangnam-do and the Fejér Megye State of Hungary."

Ambassador Szerdalheyi responded, saying, "It will be an opportunity to open the door to active human exchanges between the two countries at the moment when COVID-19 ends."
