Xing Haiming said the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which successfully ended last month, was a crucial event at a critical time when China entered a new journey of building a socialist modernized nation and headed toward its second 100-year struggle.
Noting that the most important result of the congress is the election of new leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, led by Comrade Xi Jinping, Xing Haiming noted that he was confident that Chinese modernization would lead the great revival of the Chinese people, build a socialist modernization power, and realize the second 100-year struggle.
In addition, he said that China will continue to work together to promote high-quality development, maintain a high level of openness to the outside world, and share the development interests of China in a new era with countries such as Korea.
Ambassador Xing Haiming said that Chinese President Xi Jinping and Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol held their first meeting, forming an important consensus in further developing the China-Korea strategic partnership amid the new situation and suggesting the direction of bilateral relations.

He also said that regardless of how the international situation changes in the future, important relations should adapt to the trend of historical development, exclude various obstacles, and focus on their fundamental and long-term interests to realize true sound and stable development.
"All of you here are experienced people and promoters of important relationships. Even after graduating from this curriculum, I hope you will continue to "consider carefully" in promoting projects for the development of Korea-China relations, do your best to resolve the doubts of the people of both countries, and deepen practical cooperation between the two countries," he said.
In addition, he said that the Chinese Embassy in Seoul will contribute to the continued and sound development of Korea-China relations with the participants.
Chairman Kim Han-kyu said, "Today is a pleasant day and a symbolic day of China-Korea relations, and I believe that the relationship between the two countries will surely make greater progress under the leadership of the leaders of China and Korea.
"Although this curriculum is over, your business to promote friendship between Korea and China and develop bilateral relations should continue, and I hope you will play a greater role in your respective positions by combining what you have learned, thought, and realized with your daily life," he said.
