Says Mayor Lee Wan-seop of Seosan City in his New Year greetings
Seosan City Mayor Lee Wan-seop said, "We have opened the door for a leap forward to become a center of dynamic growth and balanced national development and to establish ourselves as a center city on the west coast of Chungcheongnam-do."
Mayor Lee said in his New Year's address in 2023, "There are a lot of major projects such as Seosan Airport, Garorim Bay Marine Garden, Daesan Port International Cruise Ship, next-generation UAM demonstration testbed, and hydrogen industry."

We are back on the starting line for the 2023 New Year.
In the turbulent times of the day, we welcome the New Year with stronger and more solid hope.
Ladies and gentlemen! Last year, more than 1,700 public officials have taken steps without stepping down with the desire of citizens who aspire to new hope and change.
It has opened the door to a leap forward to become a center for dynamic growth and balanced national development and to establish itself as a central city on the west coast of Chungcheongnam-do.
Construction of the resource recovery facility and youth culture house was completed, and the Jungwang Port fishing village New Deal 300, Eoulim Gymnasium, and family center were completed to strengthen the quality of life and welfare of citizens.
The Seosan Haemieupseong Festival, Seosan Chrysanthemum Festival, and Seosan Citizens' Sports Festival were also held successfully.
Seosan City also proved its administrative power by winning numerous senior institutional awards, including the Presidential Award.
Despite the government's strict sound fiscal stance for the first time in 13 years, the budget also was set aside for the largest amount ever of 1.13 trillion won.
Everyone! It's just the beginning. "Rising Seosan, Vigorous Seosan" is the goal of Seosan City and the belief I have to achieve.
Major projects such as Seosan Airport, Garorim Bay Marine Garden, Daesan Port International Cruise Line, Next-Generation Air Transport (UAM) Demonstration Test Bed, and the hydrogen industry are abundant.
I'll make it happen. We will complete "Sunrise Seosan" with citizens.
If we row together with the winds of strength and wisdom, we will surely reach the final destination of hope beyond any wave of waves.
