Kim is in charge of public relations and legal affairs at Korea United Pharm

Kim Tae-sik, executive director of Korea United Pharm, was selected as the winner of this year's "Proud Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) Alumnus Award" by the HUFS Alumni Association, led by Chairman Yang In-jip.

Cho Hyun-dong, the first vice foreign minister, also receives the “Proud HUFS Alumnus Award.”

Kim, a graduate of the Department of International Trade, is currently in charge of public relations and legal affairs at Korea United Pharm after working at the SK Group's management planning office.

Since 2007, he has been serving as chairman of the Gangnam Police Station's Security Cooperation Committee for 15 years to help police work, especially supporting North Korean defectors.

The awards ceremony was held at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 3 at Lotte Hotel Sapphire Ballroom in Sogong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul.
