Discussions focused on carbon-free energy certification
Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Lee Chang-yang attended the Carbon-Free Energy Forum launching ceremony on May 17 at the Korea Press Center in Seoul and led discussions on carbon-free energy certification and Forum management directions.
The minister stated in his opening message that “Re100” is a meaningful campaign, but it can be burdensome for companies, so it is necessary to consider realistic policies and systems through a more inclusive approach incorporating the carbon-free energy concept.
The event was attended by various experts and representatives of relevant associations and firms, including Korea Energy Economics Institute (KEEI) and the Presidential Commission on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth.
