Sharing cancer diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare know-how with local medical staff to promote mutual benefit and improve the quality of local medical servicesSNU Cancer Center will host an online training course on "Musculoskeletal Tumors and Liver Cancer" from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3.

All of the speakers are professors at Seoul National University Hospital and will share their latest knowledge on cancer diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare with medical staff at local hospitals and clinics. It is expected to improve the quality of medical services in the community and revitalize cooperation with local medical staff.

The lecture consisted of two sessions. The first session will be held on the topic of 'Musculoskeletal Tumors'. The lectures will cover four topics: ▲ Knowledge of bone tumors for primary care (Prof. Hansoo Kim, Department of Orthopedic Surgery) ▲ Diagnosis and treatment of palpable masses in the arms, legs, and trunk (Prof. Han Il-gyu, Department of Orthopedic Surgery) ▲ Imaging of musculoskeletal tumors for primary care (Prof. Ja-young Choi, Department of Radiology) ▲ Musculoskeletal problems in cancer patients (Prof. Yong-sung Kim, Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital).

The theme of the second session is 'Liver Cancer'. It consists of four lectures: ▲ Screening, diagnosis, and recurrence prevention for high-risk groups of liver cancer (Prof. Lee Yoon-bin, Department of Gastroenterology); ▲ Local treatment of liver cancer (Prof. Cho Eun-joo, Department of Gastroenterology); ▲ Surgical treatment of liver cancer and liver transplantation (Prof. Choi Young-rok, Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery); and ▲ Systemic treatment and supportive care for liver cancer (Prof. Yoo Su-jong, Department of Gastroenterology).

"Through this training course, we hope to share cancer information between SNU Cancer Center and local hospitals and clinics and establish a solid collaborative partnership so that more patients can receive quality cancer care," said Dr. Woo Hong-gyun, head of the Department of Cancer Care.

The online lecture will be available from 8:00 a.m. on the day of the event at http://knowcancer-snuh.org, and no prior registration is required. It carries a three-point rating from the American Medical Association.
