Minister-Counsellor of Sri Lanka

hosts farewell dinner

Minister-Counsellor Lakshitha Ratnayake, head of chancery of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Seoul, hosted a farewell dinner at the Embassy building in Sindang-dong Seoul on Aug. 2, 2013 to say goodbye to his Korean and international friends as well as his colleagues.

There was no speech and he courteously declined when a Korean media representative asked him to make farewell remarks. In fact, he already made goodbye remarks in his letter of invitation to the guests. There he said, “Time has now come to say goodbye to you and thank you for your support extended to me before my departure from your esteemed country to my beloved country.”

Attending the dinner were Ambassador Tissa Wijeratne of Sri Lanka and many Korean guests.

Among them were Publisher-Chairman Lee Kyung-sik of The Korea Post, President Kim Hyun-Mook of Decoria Confectionery, President Choi Chong-Dae of Dae-kwang international, Secretary General Lee Jun-ki of BF World, Chairperson Lee jong-ki of Korea Flag Enhancement Association and President Son Ji-myeong of World Economic Press.
