Letter from the Publisher

Is our email daily news, The Korean Daily Media Headlines, duly reaching Your Excellency every morning?

The first thing in the morning we do every day is to check all the Korean-language newspapers, broadcasts and other news media outlets, including English dailies and other news sources, and email the latest information to all the Ambassadors accredited to Korea and also to a number of other important members of the Embassies and international organizations stationed in Korea.

We have been doing this for the past 34 years of our existence since the establishment of The Korea Post English magazine in November 1985.

We have been doing this with a sense of mission and responsibility as a responsible English media in Korean with an eye to promoting the understanding, cooperation and friendship between Korea and all 117 different countries in Korea represented by a resident embassy.

The Email news is sent to the recipients free of charge as a token of expression of our gratitude for the warm support given to The Korea Post media outlets (3 in English and 2 in the Korean language) throughout the entire duration of our existence since 1985.

Our only wish is that there will be more and more clients from the Embassies and other segments of the international community in Korea—and also outside Korea.

This month, we covered the Republic of Croatia in English monthly magazine as well as our English Internet (www.koreapost.com) and the Korean-language Internet edition (www.koreapost.co.kr). We also carry the Korean language text and photographs on our next issue of our Korean-language newspaper, The Korea Post.
