At Yangpyeong Mountain Green Festival 2019

Mayor Chung Dong-Kyun of the Yangpyeong County did not wear the crown of the king but played the lesser role, that of the Jeoseon Dynasty Police chief.

Mayor Chung Dong-Kyun of the Yangpyeong County of the Gyeonggi Province appointed President Kim Hyung-dae of The Korea Post media as the “King of Yangpyeong of the Day” at the Mountain Green Festival on May 3, 2019 in Yangpyeong with the participation of Rep. Chung Byung-kuk and thousands of guests from all parts of the country. The Festival continued for three days in a row into May 5.

One of the other highlights of the Festival was the preparation and sharing of a huge container of Bibimbap Rice (rice mixed with all sorts of mountain greens) which was large enough for more than 1,300 persons.

The participants, also included Vice Chairperson Madam Cho Kyung-hee of The Korea Post media. President Kim of The Korea Post media performed the role a King of the Joeseon Dynasty as one of the highlight events of the Festival.

Participants in the Festival are jointly making a large Bibimpap enough for more than 1,000 guests.

There also was a long procession of participants in the Festival as a result of selection from among the participants.

Popular Actor Shin Hyun-joon and National Assemblyman Chung Byung-kook (center and right, respectively) join the Bibimbap rice making.

Yangpyeong is undergoing a significant change. It is developing into an eco-city, where residents of metropolitan cities wish to live. Yangpyeong is fast-becoming a place that is filled with happiness where everyone can feel the kindness of their neighbors!

What Mayor Chung aspires to make out of Yangpyeong is an eco-city where there is a harmony of nature and people, a rich farming land that produces safe, and an eco-friendly agricultural base of products that result in high income for the hard-working farmers.
He also strives to turn Yangpyeong into a county of culture, arts and leisure sports with festivals that are held all year round!

The King (President Kim Hyung-dae of The Korea Post) is seated at the left on the stage with his Queen on the right and a vassal clad in blue court dress.

A place without a blind spot in welfare services for the marginalized groups is also one of his mails.

National Assemblyman Chung is flanked on the left by Reporter Hwang Jung-ha and Vice Chairperson Cho Kyung-hee.

He declares: “It is Yangpyeong, where people can lead enriched lives. Whenever you are exhausted by the urban life style, come along the cycling trail by the Bukhan River to Yangpyeong, where you can enjoy the kindness of people, breathtaking sceneries and delightful dishes.
