On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ambassador Omar Al-Nahar of Jordan hosted a reception at the spacious Chrystal Ballroom of the Lotte Hotel in Seoul on May 29, 2015.

Many distinguished guests attended from the Korean society, who included Rep. Lee Cheol-woo, chairman of Korean-Egyptian Parliamentary Friendship Association, From the international community came many mission chiefs who included Ambassadors Albino Malungo of Angola, Jorge Roballo of Argentina, Elisabeth Bertagnoli of Austria, Ramzi Teymurov of Azerbaijan, Natallia Jhylevich of Belarus, Guadalupe Palomeque de Taboada of Bolivia, Petar Andonov of Bulgaria, Hany Moawad Selim Labib of Egypt, Carlos Victor Boungou of Gabon, Michel Idiaquez Baradat of Honduras, John A. Prasetio of Indonesia, Hassan Taherian of Iran, Khalil Ismai Abdul Sahib Al-Mosawi of Iraq, Otman S. Saad Ahbara of Libya, Mohammed Chraibi of Morocco, Raul S. Hernandez of the Philippines, Myrat Mammetalyyev of Turkmenistan, Vasyl Marmazov of Ukraine.
Speaking to the guests, Ambassador Al-Nahar said, “I wish to thank you all for being here and I would like to acknowledge the presence of four of our prominent members of Parliament, who are visiting Korea for the first time since the establishment of the Jordanian-Korean Friendly Parliamentary Association, and thank you for joining us tonight.”
Then he said, “Since I came to Korea four years ago, I already met with special people whom I am proud to call friends and brothers, amongst them, Dr. Billy Kim and Mr. Lee Chul-Woo, who are standing beside me here now.
I have asked them to say a few words this evening, as ambassadors tend to overdo it.”
